Inspiration for the Journey:
Commitment to Christ by Fr. Ian Gaston

Inspiration for the Journey: Commitment to Christ by Father Ian Gaston.

This video was made while Ian was still a Seminarian in the
Diocese of Orange, California.

Jesus asks us to follow Him, to commit to Him and to commit fully. That means we must make a definitive lifetime commitment to Christ, but how do we weak sinners overlook our hesitancy to commit fully?

Like everything else in life, we look at Him.

"Every Priest is a Jacob's Ladder"
Bishop Robert Barron

This short video presents Bishop Robert Barron’s ordination of six Dominican friars to the priesthood, which took place on May 25, 2019
at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC.

Bishop Barron explains how our priests are Jacob’s Ladders.

“Please keep these new priests and all the newly ordained priests in your prayers, asking the Lord
that they always remain faithful and seek to imitate in their own lives the sacrifice of Jesus, our great high priest.” - Bishop Barron.

Praying for our priests is becoming more important these days and who better to explain why than a priest. Lisa Flood, with Focus TV, interviews Father Andrew Merrick and Kathleen Beckman in an episode called, "A Divine Mandate". Father Andrew's joy seems contagious as he describes his calling and how he felt others were praying for him. In this video you'll also get to hear how Kathleen was called to spiritual motherhood and praying for priests. The video is available to watch on Vimeo here.

Introducing a New 2018 Manual for Helping PriestsThrough Our Prayers

new 2018 edition

new 2018 edition

History has taught us the power of intercessory prayer, and nobody is in more need of our prayers than Catholic priests battling on the front lines for the salvation of souls. Priests are called to fight evil, but they cannot fight it alone. As attacks on the priesthood intensify, you have a vital role to play in supporting priestly renewal and vocations. Those men who have answered God’s calling depend upon you to wield the most powerful weapon against the evil one — prayer.

Here Ignatian certified retreat director and author Kathleen Beckman offers Church-approved ways in which you can contribute to the welfare of the Church. Priests, seminarians, consecrated religious, and laypeople will all benefit from insights into the indispensability of the Catholic priesthood, the mission of praying for priests in the context of the New Evangelization, testimonies of spiritual mothers and priests, and Scriptural rosaries dedicated to priests, vocations, and reparation.

The Power of Intercessory Prayer

Intercessory prayer can strengthen the hearts of priests—and change the world: "Since Abraham, intercession - asking on behalf of another has been characteristic of a heart attuned to God's mercy. In the age of the Church, Christian intercession participates in Christ's, as an expression of the communion of saints." - Catechism of the Catholic Church

Eucharistic Adoration

"Adore and visit Jesus, abandoned and forsaken by men in His Sacrament of Love. Man has time for everything except for visits to His Lord and God, Who is waiting and longing for us in the Blessed Sacrament. The streets and places of entertainment are filled with people; the House of God is deserted. Ah! Poor Jesus..." - St . Peter Julian Eymard

Spiritual Warfare and Healing

Drawing from the strength we have in Jesus Christ, we need not be afraid of understanding and, through our prayers, participating in the most important spiritual battle of all: "For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12).
